Our Founding Partners
Ron Sutphin, Jr.
With a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and a Master’s in Public Administration, Ron began his career in the public sector with responsibilities in administration, public policy and economic development. After transitioning to the private sector, Ron worked to develop both regional and national brands including McDonald’s, Dunkin Brands, Circle K, and others. Throughout these opportunities, he has developed lasting relationships and rarely meets a stranger. These friendships are important to Ron, and he works tirelessly to provide value for every project.
Ron is involved in his community and serves on the boards of both the East Surry Little League and the Cardinal Foundation.
When he is not working to develop the Carolinas, Ron enjoys spending time with his wife and two boys, running, playing average golf, and watching his App State Mountaineers.
Travis attended school for 8 years at night, all while working full time and raising his two daughters. These experiences ultimately instilled the confidence needed to start Hayco Construction in the midst of a recession. Hayco has grown into a trusted name in the construction industry. Recently, the Triad Business Journal provided validation for the years of hard work by recognizing Hayco as the best place to work in the Triad and naming the firm to its 2018 Fast 50 List.
Travis develops his professional and personal relationships through one simple principle. He does what he says he is going to do.
In his free time, Travis enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters, watching Tar Heel sports, working on his farm in Surry County, and giving back to various Carolina communities.
